About Me

I went to work in production because I have this desire to help. To help others tell their story. When I realized that was my true calling, that dovetailed into teaching. I have been teaching and working in my field for the past 20 years or so.

I get the greatest kick watching my students pick up on a principle and develop it. My greatest desire is that my students are waking up to a better and more fulfilled life as a result of our relationship. Their future is at stake.

My motto is… well I have not really nailed one down, but I do like to say that practice makes permanent. The more we do, the more it will become part of who we are. Another is a complete rip off of Walt Stanchfield, “99% of an effective project is in the planning.”

I attended the Savannah College of Art and Design and earned my Master of Fine Arts in Sequential Art. The intense focus on how narrative works, as well as the visual grammar used in narrative, has cemented a solid foundation that has enabled me to work in almost every facet of the production industry, from Video and Film, to Simulation, to Photography, to IT Development. Because I do what I love so much, I feel like I really have never worked a day in my life. I love this stuff!
